Practice Accountant OR Service Charge Accountant

A long established and successful accountancy firm within reach of Newark-on-Trent, Grantham, Lincoln and Retford are hiring into an important job role for a Semi Senior Accountant OR Senior Accountant.

The firm can offer flexible start and finish times over a 37.5 hour, full time week, hybrid working is available once you are settled, study support for ACA, ACCA or AAT is on offer and potential development to a future leading role in the firm is possible, as the firm can give an ambitious person a route of progression.

The firm are looking for someone to work in a varied accountancy role including production of sole trader and limited company accounts, corporate and personal tax returns, bookkeeping, preparation and potentially reviewing of VAT returns and occasional management accounts. The firm mainly use software including IRIS, Sage and Xero.

Due to the nature of some of their clients, the role could involve service charge work (Service charge accounts are the statement or statements typically prepared and issued annually to leaseholders by the landlord or manager to account for actual service charge income and expenditure.).  The firm could also offer a service charge-focused role, where the full workload would include clients of this type, if the candidate has the necessary experience.

The role would need to be largely office based, as training would need to be given. After a period of adaptation, there could be some flexibility with some home working. This job could be available either full time or part time.
