Practice Accountant - FT or PT

We are hiring a new Accountant, job position for a friendly, successful and flexible accountancy employer, based close to Bedford.

Based in nice offices, this firm have good staff retention rates, can offer flexible hours, some element of hybrid working if needed and no micro-management. The firm have great staff retention, people tend to stay there a long time and they reward good staff well, to ensure they are happy.

The firm are concerned with team fit predominantly and made it clear to me that the level of experience and qualification is not as important as team fit. They can therefore consider anyone from Semi-Senior through to Supervisor / Assistant Manager level.

**Accounts Senior**

This firm are looking for an individual with experience working in a practice environment.

You can develop your skills in a supportive environment, within a small firm who deal with high quality clients and value team work.

The job will be predominantly accounts based, working alongside experienced colleagues and with the full support of the firm’s leadership team.

This can be a full-time or a part time role depending on the candidate, workings days being Monday to Friday.

Salary depending on experience.

Your main responsibilities will include:

* Accounts preparation for sole traders and companies using FRS102 and FRS105
* Preparation of corporation tax returns
* Preparation of personal tax returns
* Preparation of workings papers and notes for partner review
* Management accounts
* Preparation of VAT returns
* Assisting with other client requirements, such as bookkeeping and general queries

There is also the opportunity for audit experience.

* If you have experience of IT packages including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks etc, that would be helpful.
