Part Time Accountant

Part-time Accountant – Wiltshire – £35,000 – £45,000 FTE – 2-3 days per week, flexible

I am working with an established SME based in Wiltshire who is seeking a hands-on and experienced account professional to step into a key role within their team. This position is available due to the retirement of their long-serving accounts colleague.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a part-time role in a supportive and flexible environment. The role is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in an SME setting and can confidently handle a variety of accounting tasks.

The role includes:

• Processing invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Completing bank reconciliations and maintaining cashflow records.
• Assisting with payroll processing.
• Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting financial reporting.
• Contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience working in SMEs, with a hands-on approach.
• Proven ability to work independently and use your initiative.
• Qualifications are not essential, but AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualifications would be an advantage.
