Senior to Manager - Audit and Accounts

An established, but modern accountancy firm in Derby are seeking to hire into a key Audit and Accounts position. The firm are open on the level of the hire, but are keen to consider applications from candidates between Senior to Manager level.

The role would involve around 5 – 10 audit engagements per year, with a number of accounts jobs and personal tax returns also as part of the role.

Audits are mainly local to Derby, but a small number are based in the south towards London, or in areas like Lincolnshire. Any additional experience of SRA audits for solicitor firms would be useful, but is not required.

The position would ideally be full time, office based, but with travel to clients and a small number of stopovers in hotels, but probably only around 10 days per annum.

Desirable qualities include the following: 

• Qualified, with post-qualified experience working for an accountancy firm. Those non-qualified will also be considered.
• Experience of auditing and, ideally, use of Mercia software
• Some experience of personal / corporate tax is a positive, but training can be provided.
