Location: Nottingham (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified finance professional to join a dynamic and growing commercial finance team. This newly created role offers the chance to lead and develop a small FP&A function, working closely with senior finance business partners and decision-makers. Based in Nottingham city centre, the position operates on a hybrid basis with two to three days a week in the office.

About the Role
This role is pivotal in providing critical financial insights and reporting that will drive the organisation’s performance and profitability. You’ll lead a team of two analysts, managing the FP&A function to deliver high-quality data for strategic decision-making. Additionally, you’ll oversee the management of financial data and liaise with key external teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and mentoring two finance analysts, ensuring resources are prioritised effectively.
• Taking ownership of financial data and reporting strategies to meet business objectives.
• Developing and enhancing analytical tools to address commercial challenges.
• Collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
• Driving innovation and adopting new technologies to enhance reporting capabilities.

About You
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong background in FP&A or commercial finance analysis. We are looking for someone who thrives on combining technical expertise with leadership and stakeholder engagement.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
• Proven experience in commercial finance or FP&A roles.
• Advanced Excel skills, with expertise in handling complex data sets.
• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Experience in people management and developing team capabilities.
• A proactive and adaptable approach, with a passion for continuous improvement.
