Semi-Senior Accountant

We are actively recruiting for a good job opportunity for a firm of accountants in Peterborough, who are looking for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their Agriculture, Food and Farming team.

The salary is negotiable and will of course depend on experience and qualification – being open within reason.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements to final accounts for review
• Prepare accounting schedules
• Adhere to proper accounting standards.
• Work on a wide range of accounts.
• Develop and maintain good client relations.
• Liaise with clients directly or through relevant managers to resolve queries or obtain further information.
• Make timely and relevant recommendations in relation to accounting matters, financial reporting, and accounting systems in use (including software).

Requirements:

• AAT level 3 or 4, ACCA, or ACA studier.
• Strong practical knowledge/experience of accounts preparation with experience within an accountancy practice environment.
• Experience of work within an Agricultural or associated background is preferred.
• Cloud based accounting systems knowledge would be helpful on systems such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
