A growing SME manufacturing company based in Mansfield is looking to appoint an experienced Procurement Manager to lead and develop their purchasing function. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic business with a strong international supply chain and play a pivotal role in shaping procurement strategy and supplier relationships.
The RoleAs Procurement Manager, you will oversee all purchasing activities, with a particular focus on negotiating with large, high-value suppliers and managing overseas procurement. You will lead a team of four and be responsible for ensuring best value, continuity of supply, and developing long-term supplier partnerships that support the company’s growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with major suppliers.
Manage and optimise foreign procurement activities.
Lead, mentor, and develop a purchasing team of four.
Build strong supplier relationships to drive cost efficiencies and supply chain resilience.
Support the company’s operational and production needs through effective procurement planning.
Proven overseas procurement experience.
Background in a similar manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
