Practice Accountant - Manager

An established and successful accountancy firm, accessible from Cambridge, Sawston, Royston and surrounding areas are hiring for a practice accountant job role, ideally at Manager level, but anyone from accountant through to Manager grade will be considered. Qualified in ACA / ACCA or qualified by your experience, you will have proven experience gained from working in an accountancy firm and be seeking a rewarding role, working closely with this firm’s ownership and managing a diverse client base, with an employer who is generous in both salary and holidays.

Working as a Supervisor or Manager, you will have overall responsibility for all clients in the office, with exposure to income and corporate taxes, VAT and accounts finalisation. Systems used are mostly Taxcalc as the accounts and tax software and Xero for online accounting.

This firm’s clients include a range of industries such as new technology / quick growth industries, charities and a mix of commercial businesses.

There is real potential in this position and ambitious applicants could develop into a future leader, potentially Partner level position.

This practice are very generous with salaries offered, holidays are 25 to 28 days, dependent on level plus bank holidays, extended sick pay, 4% auto-enrolment on pension, study leave and course / exam fees covered for anyone studying ACCA / ACA.
