Office Manager

A job opportunity has arisen for an office manager to join a firm of accountants in central Lincoln. The salary is negotiable, dependent on your experience and qualifications.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising, directing, and monitoring the work of administrative staff, including stepping in to help when needed.
  • Help establishing, implementing, and maintaining office procedures.
  • Administering the organisation’s HR and select finance functions by dealing with staff recruitment, training, induction, employment issues, keeping personnel records up to date, arranging interviews and updating financial agreements.
  • Processing invoices and managing office budgets.
  • Managing databases and computer systems.
  • Organising company events and conferences.
  • Organise and manage office layout, inventory of office supplies, stationery, and IT equipment.
  • Dealing with correspondence, complaints, and queries.
  • Ensuring that health and safety policies are up to date.
  • Assisting senior management team when needed.
  • Attending meetings with senior management.
  • Maintain the condition of the office and arrange for necessary repairs.
  • Check that data protection laws are being adhered to in relation to the storage of data, and review and update policies.
  • Arrange regular testing for electrical equipment and safety devices.
  • Manage social media for your organisation.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and service providers and block junk calls.
  • Manage contracts with suppliers.
  • Site visits to other offices as required.

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient use of a range of software
  • Delegate work to staff and manage their workload and output.
  • Proven experience in office management or administrative roles.
  • This is a Lincoln based role with the requirement to work in Retford one day per week ideally (may be possible to only work in Lincoln)
