Management Accountant – Nottingham – Full-time Permanent – £35,000 – £45,000

I am recruiting for a Management Accountant (QBE) to join a thriving and historic SME manufacturing business located just outside Nottingham city centre. This newly created role, a result of the company’s growth, will make you the newest addition to a small, dynamic finance team.

About the Role: This hands-on position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment involves managing the company’s monthly management accounts and providing support to the transactional team as needed. You will collaborate closely with the credit controller and purchase ledger clerk to manage ledger processes and review credit control procedures and performance. Depending on your experience, you may directly line manage these individuals. If you have not previously held people management roles, this is an excellent opportunity to develop those skills by mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing monthly management accounts
• Maintaining the fixed asset register
• Handling VAT returns
• Conducting bank reconciliations
• Managing or mentoring the transactional team
• Reviewing process controls for day-to-day finance operations

About You: You should possess strong management accounting skills and be eager to take on broader responsibilities. While formal qualifications are not required, you must have a proven track record in a similar role. Experience in a manufacturing setting is highly advantageous.
