Blusource Recruitment is working exclusively with a family-owned manufacturing business based in Oakham, which is looking for a Financial Controller to join them on the next stage of their journey. The role is offered on a hybrid basis and their office is easily commutable from Leicester, Peterborough and Nottingham.
The business is incredibly interesting and designs and produces bespoke products, growing organically on a sustainable basis.
Are you looking to join a business that really looks after its employees to the point where they offer hybrid working, but most employees prefer going into the office? There are numerous staff who have stayed with the business for decades.
You will also be taking over from a Financial Controller who is retiring after over a decade with the business.
You will be managing all aspects of the company accounts, including the preparation of annual company standard costs; preparing monthly management accounts and the board pack. You will manage the full working capital cycle, maintain and improve internal controls and contribute to the company’s financial strategy and decision-making.
The business invests significantly in equipment and modernisation, so you will be involved in planning capital expenditure and maintaining the fixed asset register.
You will also oversee and develop the other person in the finance team, who will assist you with the general financial administration.

Are you a Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) who can work independently, but also support all of the stakeholders across the business?
Do you have great attention to detail?
Are you someone who will embrace change and modernisation and will look to improve processes?
Are you hands-on and like to be involved and help the wider business?
Can you work to deadlines and prioritise your team’s workload?
