Head of Finance

About the Role:

The Head of Finance will play a critical role in managing the financial operations within a manufacturing business, driving efficiency, cost control, and strategic growth. This role demands an understanding of manufacturing finance, including costing, inventory management, capital investment, and supply chain financial oversight. You will ensure the company’s financial health and profitability by partnering closely with operations and supply chain departments to improve margins, productivity, and long-term sustainability. The role involves providing accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and managing risks, while maintaining robust financial controls.

Experience Required:

Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.

Demonstrable experience in a senior finance role within the manufacturing industry, with specific experience in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial controls.

Leadership: Proven leadership experience managing finance teams within a production or plant environment, fostering collaboration with operational departments.

Commercial Acumen: Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, procurement, and their financial implications, including working capital management.
