Financial Controller – Loughborough – Full-time, Permanent – £40,000 – £50,000

We are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller on behalf of an industry-leading, privately owned business. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Finance Director on budgeting and forecasting, while also leading the transactional and financial accounting teams.

The creation of this new Financial Controller position is a testament to their commitment to bolstering their team with crucial people management and accounting expertise.

About the Role:

The Financial Controller will take on a pivotal role, focusing on managing the transactional and financial accounting teams. In addition, you will be responsible for preparing management accounts, overseeing payroll, setting departmental and company budgets, and providing detailed analysis to support department heads in making key decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing monthly management accounts
• Financial reporting and analysis
• Managing monthly payroll
• Leading and developing the finance team
• Overseeing month-end duties

Requirements:

• CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in managing finance teams
• Experience in payroll management
• Strong background in preparing management accounts
• Business partnering skills are desirable, though formal experience in this area is not required
