Bookkeeper

An excellent job opportunity has arisen at an established accountancy firm in St Neots, within reach of Huntingdon, Bedford, Biggleswade, Cambridge, and Sandy, for a Bookkeeper, offering free parking, a nice office environment, early finish on a Friday and competitive salary.

The role will be based in the office, with the firm open to consider both full-time or part-time candidates. 

Responsibilities:

The firm is looking to recruit a bookkeeper to provide core support to the practice. The role will focus primarily on bookkeeping, payroll and VAT work across a varied portfolio of SME clients. There is also scope, depending on experience, to get involved in accounts preparation and some tax-related work in the future.

• Day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of SME clients
• Processing sales and purchase ledgers
• Bank reconciliations
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Processing payroll for clients
• Supporting the wider team where required
• Potential involvement in accounts and tax work (longer-term)

Software Used:

The firm works with a range of modern accounting software, including:

• Sage
• Xero
• QuickBooks
