Accountant - Up to Assistant Manager
An established and successful firm of accountants based in Ashbourne have the following job opportunity available and are open to hiring up to Assistant Manager level. Full or part time hours may be considered for someone with suitable experience gained from working in an accountancy firm. The role on offer can be anywhere between a Semi Senior AND Assistant Manager level in the firm’s accounts and tax department.
Those qualified in ACCA, ACA or AAT would have the opportunity for a strong remuneration package and key role, but people qualified by their experience with experience of working in an accountancy firm would be equally valued.

If you have management experience or are seeking the step up into such a role, from perhaps a Senior Accountant position, this opportunity could suit you.
You will be working with a portfolio of non-audit clients, managing senior and junior accountants, correspond with clients and ensure work is done on time and to the right standard, plus develop your own skills.
Your day-to-day duties and key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Reviewing work, statutory accounts, tax returns, management accounts and VAT returns with clients in a variety of sectors
- Management of workflow
- Prioritising workload
- Meeting with clients
- Preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts and tax computations
- Working with varying software packages including CCH, Sage, and Xero
Salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
A knowledge of Xero, Sage and Quickbooks desirable, but systems can be taught.
Position is full time ideally, but part time applications considered
