Accountant - Senior to Manager

This Derby-based accountancy firm have a new career opportunity, an Accountant job where they are flexible on the level of hire if it’s the right person, ideally looking at between Senior to Supervisor or Manager level.

A smaller, but long-standing firm with a goof reputation as an employer, parking on site, flexi-time and some hybrid working, they offer variation, full support and a nice office environment. 

The role:

The firm have a vacancy at which can be anywhere from Senior to Supervisor/Manager level, with the hope that the successful person will become a cornerstone of the practice, sitting between the Partners and the rest of the staff. The role would mainly consist of managing more junior colleagues who do bookkeeping, accounts and VAT returns, in addition to producing work for clients and plenty of client contact.

The firm:

The Partners describe the firm as not formal or ‘stuffy’ and are keen to grow the business, with the help of a new addition to the team. This addition will allow the Partners to focus on business growth, which could provide further exciting opportunities in future.

This employer is a flexible firm, with flexible hours and the option for hybrid working, although, they prefer for staff to be in the office regularly. The firm consider themselves to be very tech-savvy and ‘ahead of the curve’ when it comes to IT, being largely paperless. They mainly use Xero with small bits of work also done on Quickbooks.

Salary is open and will depend on experience and suitability.
