Accountant – Manager of Outsourcing

An established accountancy practice with an excellent reputation, superb offices and free parking, based within commuting distance of Loughborough, Quorn, Coalville and Leicester are seeking to hire an Outsourcing and Accounting Manager to join the team.

Within the role, you will manage outsourcing, meaning bookkeeping and VAT work, plus some management accounts at each VAT quarter, involving the management of the team.

There is also the scope to take on additional responsibilities, such as year-end accounts work, tax, or other work within the firm such as payroll or people management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and review of VAT returns and the department
• Oversee and review clients’ bookkeeping, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, journals, and month-end adjustments.
• Prepare and review management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Running a client portfolio, involving accounts, tax, client management etc.

The practice are Xero focused, also using some sage and quickbooks. With MTD coming in next year, there will be more work going into that team, with the general growth in client base strong. There are lots of enquiries from the current client base and they pick up good quality work locally. Salary wise, the firm are open within reason.
