Accountant (FTC)

A modern accountancy firm based outside Cambridge are looking for an accountant on a Fixed-Term Contract to act as Maternity Cover from March to November – this role is available on either part time OR full time hours.

The firm are looking for someone to work 25 hours per week (days and hours worked can be flexible).

The hours can be worked hybrid and there is scope for them to potentially be fully-remote, but this option will be decided by the firm following a successful interview.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Year-End Accounts Assistant / Accountant to join our team on a part-time, fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave from March to November. This role will focus on preparing year-end accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients, with the potential to assist with corporation tax if desired.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare year-end financial statements for a variety of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and address any queries related to year-end accounts.
• Collaborate with the team to review and finalize accounts before submission.
• Optionally, assist with corporation tax computations and returns (not compulsory).
