Assistant Accountant

Blusource Recruitment have teamed up with an exiciting business based just outside of Nottingham, to find an experienced Assistant Accountant to join them on a Hybrid basis.

This great role with progression potential operates in the carbon reduction and renewable energy sector, so you would be joining a growing and ethical business.

You will be able to:

• Serve as the Finance Lead for designated projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Assist in producing monthly management accounts.
• Provide support for year-end accounting processes.
• Assume financial ownership of a Group company.
• Undertake project accounting for more intricate projects.
• Conduct variance analysis for management accounts.
• Analyse monthly and year-end tax data.
• Manage the Purchase Ledger.
• Handle commercial invoicing and applications for payment.
• Take ownership of Operation & Maintenance invoicing.
• Implement credit control measures.
• Perform bank posting and reconciliations.
• Establish accurate accruals and prepayments.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
• Furnish evidence and explanations to auditors for pertinent balance sheet accounts.

• AAT qualified and/or ACCA/CIMA part qualified.
• Proficient in using Sage software, preferably Sage 200.
• A great communicator
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
