An established accountancy firm with a loyal client base in Derby are seeking to hire into an Accounts Senior role AND Bookkeeper position.
The level of candidate being considered is relatively broad as they will look at people ranging from capable Semi Seniors through to experienced Senior Accountants for the Accountant role.
The firm are known to have an extremely stable staff, long term and loyal clients and a friendly and very comfortable working culture.
Job 1) ACCOUNTS SENIOR OR SEMI SENIOR: To be considered, you must be an experienced practice accountant, available to work from the firm's Derby office. The starting salary and long term career opportunity is very much up for discussion and entirely dependent on the person being considered.
The suitable candidate will ideally be locally based and have considerable general practice experience. You will work on accountancy and tax advice in all areas but the technical specifics of the job can very much be made to suit the right person's strengths and weaknesses. If you have work that you do or do not have experience in or prefer doing, the firm will discuss that at interview and shape the role to fit. For those seeking to get involved in supervisory / management responsibilities, that could be available too. If you are particularly ambitious, the role could develop further into management but the firm are equally able to hire someone who would prefer not to progress.
Job 2) They are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper who can work at clients' premises and in their offices, mostly for Derby. Experience on IT systems such as Sage, Kashflow, Xero and Quickbooks would be advantageous but not essential.
Key responsibilities for this role will include; Processing transactions, bookkeeping and VAT Returns.
Salary will totally depend on qualification and experience but they are known to be competitive and fair. They can also be flexible on hours for this position too with full time or part time available.
