A leading accountancy firm are seeking someone to work within a crucial, internal accountant and practice manager position at a Senior level. The level of role really can be created to suit the best applicant for the job, as can the salary and reward package.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has worked in an accountancy firm and either wants to focus on the internal accounts for this firm, or has gone out to work in industry as a Financial Controller, FD or Financial Accountant and woudl like to return to a "time billing" accountancy firm in an internal Finance Manager / Head of Finance job.

This position will include overseeing the offices accounts, the cash cycle, time ledger and internal finances. This includes overall responsibility for:
* VAT returns
* Running credit control and purchase ledger
* Using SAGE currently
The firm would like to move these duties into a centralised internal Practice Manager / Finance Manager role.
The firm need the role to expand to provide:
* Management accounts
* Final accounts to file for the organisation which comprises of LLP's and a limited company. There are different VAT returns to file
* Potentially changing and improving the system used, possibly moving things to xero for example in the future
You would be in a trusted position, with access to the bank accounts etc.
Applicants will need to have a background in accountancy practice, be someone who understands a time ledger, but you may well have gone out into industry and be seeking an internal role, back in a practice firm.
The pay and reward can be very strong for this role. It really does depend on the person, but positions like this, if taken up by well qualified and experienced people, will pay at a high level.
