Job Description

This professional services business offer parking, a superb office environment, flexibility on working times, great perks and conditions and a mature and trusting working environment. They are offering a job focused on Bookkeeping work for a variety of clients as described below:

* Xero - Maintain bookkeeping for clients and internally
* Create ad hoc sales invoices / credit notes
* Liaise with clients on credit issues
* Process purchase invoices onto the system and work with suppliers to obtain missing invoices
* Supplier database maintenance - ensure correct cost allocations
* Clear bank reconciliation on a weekly basis
* Bookkeeping client support
* Provide technical support to clients on Xero and QuickBooks
* Review client invoices uploaded to Receipt Bank and ensure setup is correct before importing to Xero/QB
* Review bank reconciliation items. Liaise and clear with the client
* Obtain additional income and expenditure documents from the client to enter onto the relevant ledgers
* Process payroll with the client and submit to HMRC, issue wage slips to employees
* Prepare and review VAT returns with the client. Gain approval from the manager to submit VAT returns to HMRC
* Prepare and review CIS returns with the client. Gain approval from the manager to submit CIS returns to HMRC
* Administer the amounts due to HMRC for payroll, VAT and CIS to ensure payments are made.
* Verify client bookkeeping to agree profit/loss and balance sheet balances with clients on Xero/QuickBooks at the year end
