An accountancy firm based close to Nottingham are keen to hire into the role detailed below for a Payroll, Administration and Customer services professional.

Payroll is for clients of the firm and numbers circa 200 payrolls - some weekly and monthly. There is nothing particularly complex but prompt service is essential.
The role will include working with new clients to support them through the initial part of becoming a client of the practice and being involved in advising the companies own development. Customer service skills and a reasonable level of accountancy knowledge is therefore required, although you do not have to have experience gained from working in an accountancy practice.
You will also work with the firm's marketing side to help organise events, usually focused on networking with the businesses' clients and presenting new accounting information to them. As a primary point of contact for the firm's clients, you will also take control of any issues or queries and deal with them, being proactive with clients and encouraging them to provide their accounting records on a timely basis and in good order.
You would oversee the work of an administration clerk who does database management, diary management, call handling and filing of documents including VAT returns, signed tax returns etc. This position will suit someone capable of controlling an administration and client care function. This job would suit someone who perhaps does accountancy and administration in a small business and wants to continue the variety of their job in a client facing role.
The person hired must know about accounts and have a solid all-round knowledge. Any experience from working in an accountancy practice would be useful, but people with relevant experience from a company will be considered
